Feeding Bottles

Feeding Pillows

makes every feed more comfortable-for both mom and baby.

If you're even slightly tall, a good feeding pillow is essential. During breastfeeding, the baby should lie in a lateral position facing your body- which means they'll be slightly higher than your lap. You can either hold them in your arms (which gets exhausting quickly) or use a pillow for support. Regular pillows often don’t help much- they're fluffy in the center and don't offer proper support near your body, forcing you to still carry the baby's weight. That’s why specially designed feeding pillows- which are U-shaped, concave, and wrap around your waist- make a huge difference. Look for one with a flat, firm surface near your body. These are especially useful for football hold or side holds, and help prevent shoulder, back, and wrist strain during the 20-30 minute feeding sessions.

Breast Pumps

backup support system- for feeding and rest

If you're a working mum planning to return to work soon, investing in a breast pump early is essential. It allows you to start expressing milk early and gradually train your baby to accept pumped milk, easing the transition back to work. Even if you're not working, breast pumps can be invaluable—especially in the early days if your milk supply is low. Regular pumping can help stimulate production, and stored milk enables others to help with feeds, giving you a chance to rest. You can either buy a new one or borrow from a trusted friend if hygiene and functionality are assured.

Feeding Bottles

safe storage, easy heating, and peace of mind.

If you plan to use expressed breast milk or formula at any point, feeding bottles are a must-have. I personally prefer stainless steel bottles- they’re durable, safe, and easy to sterilize. You can directly pour pumped milk into a sterilized steel bottle, seal it with the lid, and store it in the fridge. When needed, simply reheat by placing the entire bottle in a vessel of hot water- boiling breast milk directly is not recommended as it destroys nutrients. Avoid flask-type bottles (the ones that preserve heat), as you need the flexibility to cool and reheat milk safely. Opt for 304-grade stainless steel for safety and quality.

Sterilizers

Germ-free with ease

If you plan to give your baby any bottle feeds, whether pumped breast milk or formula, a bottle sterilizer can be a very useful tool. While traditional methods like immersing feeding bottles in boiling water do work, a sterilizer offers a faster, more convenient, and hands-free solution. Most models can also accommodate breast pump parts, teethers, and pacifiers, ensuring comprehensive hygiene with minimal effort.

Breast Milk Storage Bags

safe, space-efficient milk storage—bags are the way to go.

If you’re planning to store breast milk for extended periods, especially in the fridge or freezer, breast milk storage bags are essential. These specially designed, sterile, leak-proof bags allow you to label, stack, and store milk efficiently. They're a space-saving and hygienic option compared to bottles, and most are compatible with standard breast pump connectors.
