Misc Items to carry
Coconut Water, Glucose Powder, Juice
For a quick burst of energy
Once labor is induced with Oxytocin (an injection used to initiate contractions), you’ll likely be restricted to a liquid diet. It’s a good idea to locate nearby vendors or shops that sell fresh coconut water, which is both hydrating and rich in electrolytes. Keep a packet of glucose powder handy for quick energy, and bring along natural juice and plenty of drinking water. These will keep you nourished and energized during the active labor phase.
Flasks & Water Bottles
Reliable leak proof
Staying hydrated is crucial during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. A good quality water bottle or flask ensures you have easy access to warm or cold water throughout your hospital stay. Whether it’s sipping warm water after delivery or staying cool during breastfeeding, a reliable, leak-proof flask is a must-have in your hospital bag. These flasks also come in handy for carrying tea, coffee, or other warm drinks from home or the hospital canteen, making your recovery more comfortable.
